Philip Rodenbough is an interdisciplinary scholar and an expert in the art of scientific writing. He has published various editorials on scientific writing strategies. With funding from the Materials Research Society Foundation, he has carried out international science education projects. As a Fulbright U.S. Scholar in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and in Cote d’Ivoire, he has delivered programs to help francophone science graduate students to develop their writing skills in English.

In 2018, Philip founded NYUAD’s Scientific Writing Program, which helps graduate students and postdocs to compose scientific manuscripts of the highest quality. He continues to manage the Scientific Writing Program under a remote adjunct Lecturer of Writing appointment with the Graduate Program, and he occasionally teaches a First-Year Writing Seminar with the undergraduate Writing Program.
